Toxic Mold Case Settles for $150,000, Plaintiff Claims Duress In Appeal

ALHAMBRA, Calif. - In what a former attorney for one defendant described as a "bizarre case," Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Richard Montes has enforced a $150,000 settlement of claims alleging that water damage from a 1994 office fire led several employees to develop toxic mold-related injuries. Albert R. Mackenzie, M.D., et al. v. Riverside Medical Building, et al., No. BC183673 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
