icDendicorr Dearborn, M.D., Ph.D. of Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, is currently recruiting infants in the Cleveland area up to 12 months old for inclusion in the descriptive phase of a study of Stachybotrys-induced hemorrhage in the developing lung.
According to Dr. Dearborn, the study is designed to assess the impact of toxigenic mold on children's health. The descriptive phase involves extensive psychometric and pulmonary function testing along with a comprehensive health survey. The study began in the summer of 2000.
