SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Mold activist Sharon Kramer has petitioned the California Supreme Court for review of lower court rulings that declined to dismiss a defamation suit brought over a statement Kramer made in an online posting. Kelman v. Kramer, No. S149090 (Calif. Sup. Ct.).

Kramer contends in her Dec. 26 petition for review that her statement that an environmental expert 'altered his under oath statements' concerning the circumstances under which he wrote a 'nontechnical' version of a peer-reviewed paper is not only true but is protected speech under the state's anti-SLAPP statute (Code of Civil Procedure 425.16).
