Court Affirms Verdict for Owners against Fleetwood Travel Trailers




FRESNO, Calif. - A California appellate court has affirmed a $38,000 breach-of-warranty verdict against Fleetwood Travel Trailers, rejecting Fleetwood's contention that after repairing a leak it wasn't given an opportunity to repair water damage. Robertson v. Fleetwood Travel Trailers of California Inc., No. F048123 (Calif. Ct. App., 5th Dist.).

In a published opinion issued on Nov. 7, California's 5th Appellate District did partially reverse and remand for a recalculation of attorneys' fees, finding that the trial court erred in considering some of the same factors in applying a lodestar and a multiplier to award plaintiffs' counsel $231,187.45 in fees.
