CLEVELAND - State Farm Insurance Co. has intervened in a lawsuit between a homeowner and a mold remediation contractor in an effort to recover $416,920.15 it paid the homeowner for property damage blamed on the contractor. TolTest, Inc. v. Karen Nelson-Delk, No. 3:03 CV 7315 (N.D. Ohio).
The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio granted State Farm's motion to intervene in the dispute between TolTest Inc. and Karen Nelson-Delk on Aug. 25. State Farm filed its complaint as intervening plaintiff five days later.
