AUGUSTA, Ga. - A former employee of the Medical College of Georgia filed a wrongful termination lawsuit on Oct. 3, alleging he was fired for complaining of mold and mildew in the college's hospital facilities. Brandenburg v. Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, et al., No. CV106-152 (S.D. Ga.).
Michael T. Brandenburg asserted claims in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia under Georgia's whistleblower statute (O.C.G.A. § 45-1-4) and the U.S. Constitution's Free Speech and Due Process clauses.
