LAKE CHARLES, La. - A Louisiana appellate court held May 31 that workers suing over mold exposure failed to provide good cause for missing a filing deadline for class claims and those claims were properly dismissed. Crader v. Pinnacle Entertainment Inc., et al., No. 06-136 (La. Ct. App., 3rd Cir.).
Brett Crader and Daniel McCoy sued Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. and PNK (Lake Charles) LLC on Feb. 17, 2005, alleging injuries from exposure to mold, paint fumes, and fireproofing during construction and repair work at the Pinnacle Hotel and Casino in Lake Charles, La.
