Flooding, Mold Contamination Bring $97,119 in Property Damages




SAN ANTONIO, Texas - A state court jury has awarded the owners and renters of flooded condominiums a total of $97,118.75, blaming the damage on a neighbor's decision to dam a brook (Scott, et al. v. Brooks, No. 2003 CI 16740 (Texas 45th Dist., Ct. , Bexar Cty.).

The damages were assessed on Feb. 24 against Fritz H. and Dora L. Brooks, who were awarded summary judgment before trial on one plaintiff's claims of personal injury from exposure to mold, paint fumes and dust during remediation.
