NEW YORK - A New York trial court dismissed an insurer's third-party claims against a condominium building entity and its board of managers on Jan. 30, saying a settlement between those defendants and building residents extinguished the insurer's subrogation claims. Siegel v. The Chubb Corp., et al., No. 114431/03; Pacific Indemnity Co. v. Zeckendorf Realty, et al., No. 590554/04 (N.Y. Sup., N.Y. Cty.).

The two third-party defendants, 515 Park Avenue Condominium and The Board of Managers of 515 Park Avenue Condominium, settled with individual plaintiffs and signed a general release of claims in June 2004. The claims arose from water …
