HONOLULU - A Hawaii state court judge on Dec. 23 gave preliminary approval to a $1.8 million settlement of claims by Hilton hotel guests who complained the hotel chain failed to warn them of mold problems in the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort and Spa. Moffett v. Hilton Hotels Corp., et al., No. 03-1-1043-05 (SSM) (Hawaii 1st Cir. Ct.).

Judge Sabrina .S. McKenna of Hawaii's 1st Circuit Court signed a 10-page order approving the agreement reached between Hilton Hotels Corp. and Jeffrey Moffett and a class of plaintiffs who rented rooms at the resort's Kalia Tower between June 14, 2002 …
