LOS ANGELES - A Los Angeles Superior Court jury on July 29 rejected claims by Dr. Sannette Gite that any mold-related illnesses were caused by the negligence of a contractor in installing 'French' doors in her home. Gite v. Home Depot, et al., No. SCO79425 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
The eight-member panel was unanimous in answering 'no' as to Fine Finish Sash & Door. A pool of 12 jurors heard testimony in the case, but only eight deliberated. Home Depot, the retailer, was voluntarily dismissed prior to trial for a waiver of fees and costs, according to a …
