N.Y. Justice Grants Renewal of Motion for Partial Summary Judgment

MINEOLA, N.Y. - A New York County Supreme Court judge on Aug. 1 dismissed two statutory claims against Chubb Group insurance defendants arising from a homeowner's coverage claim. Shaevitz, et al. v. Chubb Corp., et al., No. 15180/04 (N.Y. Sup. Ct., Nassau Cty.).

Justice Thomas Feinman also dismissed claims against defendants 'Chubb Corp.' and 'd/b/a Chubb Group of Insurance Cos.,' granting partial summary judgment upon defendants' affidavits that they were not parties to the policy or involved in the claim denial.
