DETROIT - Jurors in a Michigan Circuit Court have awarded $925,000 to a woman who claimed her landlord's negligence led to years of exposure to water leaks and mold and resulted in her hospitalization for severe asthma attacks. Mahaffy v. Maple Creek Estates LLC, No. 03-318110CZ (Mich. Cir. Ct., Wayne Cty.).
The verdict on April 19 followed a seven-day trial in Wayne County (Mich.) Circuit Court before Judge John H. Gillis Jr.
