PHILADELPHIA - A federal judge in Philadelphia has dismissed a pro se plaintiff's lawsuit arising from his alleged exposure to mold, finding no basis on which the court could accept jurisdiction. McKnight v. Hartford Insurance Co., No. 2:05-0492 (E.D. Pa.).
LeRoy McKnight sued Hartford Insurance Co., in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and amended the complaint to add claims against the City of Philadelphia, a local hospital and individual city inspectors and physicians. McKnight alleged, among other wrongdoing, failure to properly inspect his apartment for mold and other hazards, and medical malpractice.
