NEW YORK - A New York trial court denied summary judgment on Feb. 23 to the former owner of a cooperative apartment building accused of negligence in allowing water leaks that led to mold growth in the building. The court held that the record was insufficient to determine whether to apply a general rule absolving former owners. Leonardi v. North Shore Towers Apartments Inc., et al., No. 119989/03 (N.Y.
