NEW YORK - A New York Supreme Court justice has denied a personal injury plaintiff's motion to transfer a mold exposure lawsuit to another civil court considering the same parties' dispute over rent payments. Meinwald v. 205 Third Avenue Owners' Inc., et al. (N.Y. Sup., N.Y. Cty.).

New York County Supreme Court Justice Barbara R. Kapnick ruled in a two-page order Feb. 15 'that the summary nature of the landlord/tenant proceeding is inconsistent with the relatively liberal discovery procedures permitted in a personal injury action.'
