LOS ANGELES - A California appellate court has refused to overturn a judgment of $91,112.14 for a mold remediation contractor, rejecting an appeal by homeowners who said their health didn't allow them to appear for trial. Hamilton v. Janis, No. B171038 (Calif. 2nd App. Dist.).
In an unpublished opinion, California's 2nd District Court of Appeal affirmed the contractual award for Gary D. Hamilton Inc., who sued to enforce a contract entered into with Malibu, Calif., homeowners Conrad and Mari Janis.
