NEW YORK - A New York court denied summary judgment to a college's heating and cooling systems vendor on Dec. 8, saying student and staff plaintiffs could pursue third-party tort claims arising from exposure to mold. Coiro v. T&J Roofing Inc., et al., No. 402892/2003 (N.Y. Sup., N.Y. Cty.).

Students and staff at LaGuardia Community College first sued LaGuardia and various vendors in 1992, alleging exposure to mold through air-conditioning systems in several school buildings. Metro Group and other parties were added during the litigation.
