HARTFORD, Conn. - A Connecticut Superior judge granted judgment to a landlord defendant Sept. 21 after finding that tenants delayed the landlord's remediation efforts and failed to follow professional recommendations on reducing humidity in the apartment. Mayo v. T& L Enterprises, No. CVH-461 (Conn. Super., Hartford).
Judge Angelo L. dos Santos denied claims for rent abatement and damages by Elizabeth and Melvin Mayo, who complained that T&L. Enterprises failed to comply with state law by keeping rental premises in a habitable conditions.
