DAYTON, Ohio - An Ohio school board that allegedly failed to act for more than two years after finding mold in two school buildings is immune from suit, a state appellate court affirmed on July 23. Thayer v. West Carrollton Board of Education, No. 20063 (Ohio Ct. App., 2nd Dist.).
Jackie Thayer, an employee of the West Carrollton Board of Education, sued the board, the school superintendent and individual board members after she became ill from what she claimed was exposure to mold in the school buildings.
