DETROIT - Michigan's Court of Appeals held July 8 that a specific six-year limitations period governs claims against architects, engineers and contractors rather than the state's two-year limitations period for professional malpractice. Ostroth v. Warren Regency, et al., No. 245934. (Mich. App. Ct.).
The court reversed in part the Macomb Circuit Court's dismissal of claims by two couples against Edward Schulak, Hobbs & Black, an architecture firm for a renovation project for an office in Warren, Mich.
