AUSTIN, Texas - A Texas appellate court has rejected arguments by an apartment maintenance worker who contends he was fired for seeking extended leave for illness from work-related mold exposure. Serur v. Churchill Forge Properties, No. 03-03-00501-CV (Texas App. Ct., 3rd Dist.).

William P. Serur sued Churchill Forge, an apartment management company, after he was discharged on Jan. 9, 2002, for what the company said was a failure to report for work.
