RALEIGH, N.C. - Maytag Corp. has removed a North Carolina class action alleging that some model washing machines are retaining mold and mildew and experiencing unexpected electronic failures because of moisture in the electronic circuitry. Stys v. Maytag Corp., No. 5:04-CV-320. (E.D. N.C.).
The lawsuit by Tammy R. Stys and others is only one of several lawsuits alleging defects in the 'Neptune' model Maytag washer.
