Kansas Jury Awards Family $1.1 Million For Mold Damage

WICHITA, Kan. - A Wichita jury awarded a family $1.1 million in damages after finding the prior owners of the family's home liable for failing to disclose leaks in the home's tile roof. Phillips v. Tyler, NO. 03-CV-1813 (Kan. 18th Dist., Sedgwick Cty.).
William and Jeanine Phillips sued Ronald and Linda Tyler over the sale of a 6,000-square-foot house the Phillipses purchased in 1998 for $750,000. William Phillips is the former CEO of Coleman Co., the manufacturer of outdoor and camping equipment manufacturer.
