Chicago Homeowner Refiles Against Plumber and Others Hired By Insurer

CHICAGO - Less than a month after a federal judge declined to exercise jurisdiction over her state-law claims, a Chicago homeowner re-filed personal injury claims in state court against water and mold remediation specialists hired by her insurer. Patricia Henderson v. Chicago Hub Corp., et al., No. 2003-L-015678 (Ill. Cir. Ct., Cook Cty.).
The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois dismissed Patricia Henderson's claims against O'Brien Plumbing & Sewer and others on Nov. 25. The court declined to exercise jurisdiction after Henderson settled with Amica Mutual Insurance Co.
