Calif. Condo Owners Reach $8.6 Million Settlement For Defects, Personal Injuries

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Residents of a Santa Ana, Calif., condominium complex have agreed to an $8,571,028 settlement with approximately 40 contractor-defendants in a lawsuit over alleged construction defects and personal injuries from mold exposure. Spectrum Community Association v. Bristol House Partnership, et al., No. 00CC 07398 (Calif. Super. Ct., Orange Cty.).
Of that amount, $6,392,028 will go to the Spectrum Community Association for property damage claims and another $2,179,000 is designated for bodily injury claims by 505 individual tenants.
