1 ARTICLE: "Toxic Mold: Phantom Risk vs Science"
SUMMARY: The objective of this review of mold and its effect on health was to separate information that is considered scientifically valid from unproven and controversial information. The authors concluded that mold-related symptoms are likely the result of transient irritation, allergy, or infection. Building-related illness due to mycotoxicosis has not been proven in the medical literature. The authors state that prompt remediation of water-damaged material and infrastructure repair should be the primary response to indoor fungal contamination.
