The decision on what types of injuries the plaintiff will be permitted to prove varies from case to case, and not enough cases have gone to trial to permit even ballpark prediction of the insured's exposure. One thing is certain: mold claims can be expensive to defend. They often require assembling a team of experts, including an industrial hygienist, a mycologist, a remediation contractor, an epidemiologist and one or more physicians.
