Researchers Surprised By Low Awareness of Effective Cleaning Treatments
photo-1 A study finding that mold is pervasive in homes nationwide and thrives in household sites that are not routinely cleaned was presented in March at the 60th Annual meeting of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. The lead investigator in the study is Kelly Reynolds, Ph.D., who is with the University of Arizona Environmental Research Laboratory. Other investigators in the study were Stephanie Boone and Charles P. Gerba, Ph.D. Dr. Reynolds spoke with HarrisMartin Publishing about the study and its results.
