BROWNSVILLE, Texas - On Feb. 14, a temporary restraining order was granted to prevent Brownsville Independent School District from making alterations or repairs to Aiken Elementary and Besteiro Middle Schools, both alleged to be affected by construction defects and mold contamination. Angel Castillo, et al. v. Carroll Dusang & Rand, Inc., et al., No. 2001-11-4959-C (Texas Dist. Ct., 197th Jud. Dist., Cameron Cty.).
