HOA Reaches $4.1 Million Partial Settlement for Mold-Related Defects/Injury; Trial Set for Remainder of Claims




SANTA ANA, Calif. - A homeowners association (HOA) reached a $4.1 million partial settlement in its mold-related construction defect and bodily injury case against the numerous builders and subcontractors involved in the construction of The Spectrum condominiums in Santa Ana, Calif. Spectrum Community Assoc. v. Bristol House Partnership, et al., No. 00CC07398 (Calif. Super. Ct., Orange Cty.).

The partial settlement was reached Feb. 7 with one of the developers of the project. Trial is scheduled in February 2004 for the remainder of the plaintiffs' claims against the original developer and the subcontractors.
