The first pilot study attempting to directly link residential construction habits to occupants' health has been initiated by Advanced Energy, a Raleigh, N.C., non-profit organization. The organization, formerly known as Alternative Energy Corporation (AEC), is also about halfway through another pilot study documenting the differences between vented and sealed crawlspaces. Both pilots concern issues such as humidity, mold growth, indoor air quality and human health.
