BOSTON - An insurance company is denying allegations that it failed to honor its obligations to a Massachusetts couple whose home and belongings have been damaged by water infiltration and mold growth. Dean and Patrice Moore v. Safety Insurance Company, No. 02-4304C (Mass. Super. Ct., Suffolk Cty.).

On Oct. 18, the insurer filed an answer to the couple's Sept. 27 lawsuit, countering that the damage occurred prior to the inception of its homeowners' policy and is the result of the homeowners' failure to adequately maintain the property and mitigate damage.
