SACRAMENTO, Calif. - A confidential settlement was reached between homeowners and their homeowners' insurance policy provider after a jury in the first phase of trial determined that the initial damage to the home's roof was not caused by wind. Robert and Susan Jelicich v. Safeco Insurance Company of America, No. 00-AS-07108 (Calif. Super. Ct., Sacramento Cty.).
