SEATTLE - A trial court's decision to impose $780,000 in discovery sanctions and related costs against Sto Industries was made without proper foundation and must be reconsidered, Washington's Court of Appeals ruled. Sept. 21. Sto Industries v. Mayer, No. 29549-1-II (Wash. App. Ct., Div. II).
The Court of Appeals also ordered the lower court to review an award of $352,693.50 in attorneys' fees and allow only those fees related to the homeowners' Consumer Protection Act Claim.
