Worker's Compensation Case for Librarian's Mold Injuries Goes Before Santa Fe Judge

SANTA FE, N.M. - A worker's compensation administrative hearing ended Aug. 2 on a claim filed by a Santa Fe Public Library worker against the city of Santa Fe, alleging that her physical disabilities are due to mold exposure on the job. Julie Bystrom v. City of Santa Fe, No. 00-05763 (N.M. W.C.A.).
A decision is not expected from the court until mid-October concerning whether claimant Julie Bystrom is entitled to worker's compensation coverage for chronic fatigue, respiratory problems and memory problems that she alleges was caused by exposure to mold at the library.
