Tenants Sue Owner of Mold-Ridden Apartments for Property And Personal Injury Damages

AUBURN, Calif. - A complaint was filed Aug. 8 by 77 tenants of a Rocklin, Calif., apartment complex against the owner alleging that negligence in repair and maintenance resulted in damages to their personal property and physical health. Morgan FeDora, et al. v. JJF, L.L.C., No. SCV13814 (Calif. Super. Ct., Placer Cty.).
The suit claims that complex owner JJF, L.L.C., failed to properly maintain the apartments and, as a result, the tenants were exposed to mold-contaminated indoor air and suffered numerous physical injuries and loss of the use of their apartments and belongings.
