Pennsylvania Jury Finds Assessment Company Negligent,
But Awards No Damages for Alleged Mold-Related Injuries

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A jury in Pennsylvania has awarded nothing to a couple who alleged that negligence on the part of a contractor hired to assess storm damage to their home resulted in mold growth, ultimately causing them to suffer respiratory and neurological injuries. Seymour Traub and Susan K. Traub v. Crawford & Company, et al., No. 1995-C-153 (Pa. Comm. Pls., Lehigh Cty.).
The Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas jury began deliberating at 1:30 p.m. on July 2 and emerged at approximately 3:00 p.m. on July 3, finding defendant Crawford & Company negligent on three of the four counts …
