MINEOLA, N.Y. - A New York Supreme Court justice has found for the operators of an oceanfront condominium complex sued over leaks and other problems at what once was a "grand hotel," finding in part that the unit owner failed to take steps to protect his own unit. Heyman v. Lido Beach Towers Condominium, No. 4902/2006 (N.Y. Sup. Ct., Nassau Cty.).
Nassau County (N.Y.) Supreme Court Justice Karen V. Murphy said in her March 31 order that plaintiff Frederick Heyman failed to meet his burden of proof, and she dismissed all causes of action against Lido Beach Towers Condominium.
