Ill. Attorney General Accuses Mold Remediation Firm of Fraud

CHICAGO - Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan has filed a fraud complaint against a Florida-based firm she alleges has been falsely claiming that customers' air ducts and heating systems are contaminated with mold, necessitating expensive repairs. People of the State of Illinois v. Warranty USA Inc., et al., No. 11CHO3429 (Ill. Cir. Ct., Cook Cty.).

The attorney general filed the complaint for injunctive and other relief on Jan. 11 in Cook County (Ill.) Circuit Court against Warranty USA Inc., which conducts business in Schaumburg, Ill,, as Air Duct Cleaning Pros, and Warranty's president and salesman, Moshe Kesem.
