Washington Court Affirms Rulings for Quadrant, Weyerhaeuser

SEATTLE - A Washington appellate court has affirmed decisions favoring building contractors in a lawsuit brought by homeowners, finding that plaintiffs failed to offer evidence of deception to counter defendants' summary judgment motions. Shimada, et al. v. Quadrant Corp., et al., No. 64254-5-1 (Wash. Ct. App., Div. 1).

The Washington Court of Appeals affirmed dismissal of certain claims against Quadrant Corp. and Weyerhaeuser Co. in its Jan. 10 unpublished opinion, including an allegation that Quadrant representatives failed to mention that mold issues were "common to Quadrant homes."
