MINEOLA, N.Y. - A New York appellate court has affirmed a lower court decision allowing the owners of a mold-contaminated and water-damaged apartment complex to seek significant tax relief because of the damage. In the matter of Archstone Communities Trust v. Board of Assessors and/or The Assessors of the County of Nassau, No. 2009-03581 (N.Y. Sup. Ct., App. Div., 2nd Dept.).
