Tulane Study Finds No Increased Mold Risks After Hurricane Katrina

NEW ORLEANS - A three-year Tulane University study of allergy and asthma patients in the New Orleans area found no increased risk because of exposure to mold or dampness in the months and years following the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina in August 2005 ("The Relationship between Mold Exposure and Allergic Response in Post-Katrina New Orleans," Journal of Allergy, vol. 2010, Article ID 510380, 7 pages, 2010. doi:10.1155/2010/510380).

The study was published in the recently released issue of the Journal of Allergy, a peer-reviewed publication.
