AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas Supreme Court has declined to hear a petition from Dr. William Rea, who wanted to stay a licensing hearing by the state medical board based on accusations that his environmental health diagnoses are based on flawed science. In re William James Rea, M.D. v. State Office of Administrative Hearings, No. 10-0409 (Texas Sup. Ct.).
Rea, who has testified for plaintiffs in mold and other environmental injury claims, asked the Supreme Court to allow him to pursue discovery, as well as constitutional and jurisdictional challenges before the Texas Medical Board schedules a hearing on the merits. …
