LAFAYETTE, La. - A class action lawsuit filed against all U.S. manufacturers of mobile homes for construction and design defects that allegedly fostered water intrusion and mold growth was recently removed to federal court. Leo Jay Matte, et al. v. Sunshine Homes, Inc., et al., No. 02-C-0399-D (D. La., Western Dist.).
The product liability case filed against 282 mobile home manufacturers was removed from the 27th Judicial District Court of St. Landry Parish, La. to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana (Lafayette) on Feb. 28.
