DALLAS - On March 1, a teacher at Plano Senior High School (PSHS) filed a class action lawsuit against the school district and the superintendent for allegedly not issuing warnings about the presence of 'toxic mold' and not implementing an effective plan of remediation. Marie M. Greene v. The Plano Independent School District and Dr. Doug Otto, No. 3-02CV0429-H (D. Texas, Dallas Div.).

The lawsuit was filed almost two years after testing by a district-hired environmental company reportedly discovered elevated levels of several different species of molds in at least two of the five buildings that form the school campus.
