911 Operators File Class Action Lawsuit for Mold at Louisiana Sheriff's Facility

POINT-A-LA-HACHE, La. - Two employees of the Plaquemines Sheriff's Office have sued the Parish of Plaquemines for failure to disclose the presence of mold in the 911 room of the Port Sulphur jail. Brenda C. Redden and Lettie Marinovich v. The Parish of Plaquemines, The Plaquemines Parish Council and ABC Insurance Company, No. 48-380 (La. Dist. Ct., Plaquemines Parish).

The suit, filed March 8 as a class action in Plaquemines Parish District Court, seeks damages for mold-related personal injuries, emotional distress, loss of income and medical monitoring as a result of exposure to mold.
