TROY, Mich. - Michigan's Court of Appeals has rejected causation challenges and affirmed a $303,260 verdict for a family that blamed their neighbors for mold contamination that caused physical symptoms and property damage. Genna v. Jackson, No. 285746 (Mich. Ct. App.).
In a published Dec. 15 opinion, the court declined defendants' request to adopt a requirement that expert testimony be required to establish direct causation in tort cases.
