Summary: According to the authors, there is increased risk of asthma in adults related to dampness problems and molds in homes. They conducted a population-based incident case-control study of 521 adults with newly diagnosed asthma and 932 controls over a 2.5-year study period from 1997 to 2000 in South Finland.
