TACOMA, Wash. - A federal judge in Washington has dismissed a mold lawsuit against the operators of a New Jersey motel, saying the court lacks jurisdiction. Depoule-Voss v. Six Continents Hotels Inc., et al., No. C09-5517BHS (W.D. Wash.).
A judge for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington found that plaintiff Rachel Depoule-Voss failed to provide evidence that the operators of a New Jersey Holiday Inn have sufficient contacts within the state of Washington for the court to exercise general or specific jurisdiction.
